Tee-Owel Wrap Series

A lot of people have been asking us how we style Tee-Owels to look as cute and br-eazy as we do with the tag showing and all. The short answer is our talented tee-owel babes styled them themselves, and today we're going to share how! Starting with...

A.K.A. The Front Bun Style

The SORAYA -  (Grey Tee-Owel pictured above) This fiesty, fun style is a front bun style. To get the look you start out just like any other towel wrap: Flip your hair over your head. Use your hands to brush all of your hair down over the top of your head so that all of your hair is hanging upside down in front of your face.

Next, wrap the towel around your head. The middle of the towel should sit at the nape of your neck on your back hairline. Adjust the sides of the towel so that both sides have the same amount of fabric hanging on each side. Then taking one side end in each hand, pull the two ends together out in front of your face. Cradling your head.

Now begin twisting the ends of the towel together all the way down, making a sort of twisted “rope.” Once you've twisted down to the ends, begin circling the rope around and around, building on each cycle to form that cute bun in the front. Lastly, tuck and pull the last piece remaining into the bun to stay.

*Note* It requires a little patience and practice to perfect this wrap and get the tag showing. THE END RESULT: Wallah! You have created cuteness in towel turban form. Now its your turn! Show us how you wrap using #teeowels .

A.K.A. The Black Tee-Owel Wrap Style

Many of our customers have been messaging us asking how this beauty (Emerald) styled her tee-owel to this level of perfection. Today we're going to share how it's done with the tag showing and all!

The EMERALD - Just as lovely as it sounds, this style is reminiscent of a Royal African Queen and is completely unique to its creator (pictured above). To get the look you start out like any other towel wrap, by flipping your hair over your head, and then smoothing or brushing your hair down over the top of your head so that all of your hair is hanging upside down in front of your face.

Next, cover your hair with the tee-owel starting in the back. The bottom of the towel should sit at the nape of your neck on your back hairline. Adjust the sides of the towel so that both sides have the same amount of fabric hanging on each side.

Now begin twisting your hair in the front into the tee-owel and tuck the remaining tee-owel in the front to stay in place. In order to get the tag in the front, you must first identify where the tag is and leave that end out to assure that the tag remains accessible. Then, finish up your wrap by flipping the tag end over the front to display the tag and lay it flat before tucking the end.

*Note* It requires a little patience and practice to perfect this wrap and get the tag showing. THE END RESULT: Wallah! You're a Tee-Owel Wrap Queen. This is perhaps the most difficult tee-owel wrap to nail. Now its your turn! Show us how you wrap using hashtag #teeowels on facebook or instagram.

A.K.A. The Purple Tee-Owel Wrap Style

Welcome to Part 3 of the Tee-Owel Wrap Series, if you've missed any of our previous posts you can find Part 1 & 2 in the blog section on our website on teeowels.com. We get a ton of questions regarding how we styled these fun, cute wraps, and most of them were styled by the models themselves. This beauty right here (pictured above) is the Queen of Tee-Owel wrapping. She actually is responsible for styling multiple Tee-Owel wraps in our series, and today we're going to reveal how you can easily style your tee-owel wrap to look as gorgeous as Jasmine's!

The JASMINE - Perfect for Moon Sisters & creative soul types, in fact you can probably imagine Amy Winehouse rocking the Jasmine style in the studio. This wrap style looks as smooth as music sounds, and is great for just throwing your hair up casually in a Tee-Owel regardless of your lounging activity. To get the look you start out like any other towel wrap, by flipping your hair over your head, and then smoothing or brushing your hair down over the top of your head so that all of your hair is hanging upside down in front of your face.

Next, cover the back of your hair with the tee-owel. The bottom of the towel should sit at the nape of your neck on your back hairline. Adjust the sides of the towel so that both sides have the same amount of fabric hanging on each side.

Now grip the two ends of the towel in each hand and cross them in front of your head, but continue to pull them around the other side and tie them in the back. To finish this look simply flip your hair back over the wrap and adjust as needed. In order to get the tag in the front, you must first identify where the tag is and leave that end out to assure that the tag remains accessible. Then flipping the tag into view and smooth it out before snapping a #teeowelselfie .

After many inquiries, we are finally revealing how we achieved this Tee-Owel wrap style at our 2018 and 2019 photoshoots. And the truth is our Tee-Owel beauty Jasmine stepped in and styled this beautiful wrap for us, and we're better for it! So today we're going to share her method with you! - Don't worry, it's a lot easier than it looks and with practice you'll be wrapping it like a pro!

Props to Jasmine Harris

THE SARAH -
Likely the most stylish and statement Tee-Owel wrap, this wrap doubles as a chic little hat and enhances any fashion mood. We are in LOVE with this must try look!

HERE'S HOW TO ACHIEVE THE LOOK:

Step 1. Hair down.
To start out, unlike other towel wraps, this wrap is styled over top your hair while it is styled down. Style your hair down to begin.

Step 2. Standard set-up.
Set your towel up around the back of your head how you normally would to wrap a towel - the middle of the towel should sit at the nape of your neck on your back hairline (over your down-styled hair). Then, taking one end in each hand, hold the two ends out in front of your face, and adjust the sides of the towel so that both sides are the same length.

Step 3. Twist
With one end in each hand, begin twisting each end all the way up to your head, so that you're essentially holding a twisted rope in each hand (Don't twist them together, just individually.)

Step 3. Crossover
Now cross one rope over the other side and tuck it into the towel. Repeat with the other side, cross it in the other direction and tuck it in. Adjust as needed.

Wallah, its as simple as that! You are now a Tee-Owel wrap Queen with a wicked sense of style. With practice, you can master this look with the tag showing as pictured. Try it yourself and be sure to let us know how it goes in the comments!
